Project Case Study
Greater Hudson Promise Neighborhood WordPress Website
The Challenge
Greater Hudson Promise Neighborhood had a website, but it was out of service. This organization needed to replace their website and they needed to start with a clean slate. They had just got their logo re-designed and wanted to have their website look as good as their logo.
About
Concept Incarnate wanted to have the website speak to it’s audience segments, which are defined by age. Another important factor for the client was to make sure the Donate button was easier to see, and people could see real people getting the benefits of their programs in photo galleries. We provided them with two unique homepage options. One used all of the colours in their colour pallete, while the other had a heavier focus on natural coloured photos while scaled back to only 2 of the colours in their logo. We liked both design options, so they really could not go wrong with either choice, it was simply a choice of which one the client liked the most.
With their selected design in mind, we made a few refinements. Sometimes we offer clients the option of seeing a secondary page design, but in this case, we decided to go with our best recommendation of a design. We did not want the client to get too overwhelmed with choices. We decided to include a large, unique background photo for each page; which kept in-line with their goal of a photo-heavy design.
The produced website was responsive, update-able through WordPress, and made the clients happy because they felt it represented their message.
Why Concept Incarnate was the Best Choice
This client had no internal IT experts. They needed someone to guide them through the project of creating a professional website. They did not want to get bogged down in technical questions; they really just wanted the website to look good and show off their community photos.
Why We Chose This Project
We were a great match for this project because the client needed a website that was professional designed, but also in a system they could update on their own. We also enjoyed working on a website that is the gateway to such impactful programs for low-income children.
