As a graphic designer, I have noticed there are a growing number of people who like to pride themselves in “just doing the work,” and in taking the joy, creativity, spirituality out of designing. They say they do not wait for inspiration; they just get on with their job. This is not my mentality.
I find when I connect with spirit, my clients enjoy their designs spot on. They often say that I read their minds in what they wanted and brought it to life.
I guess there is no “wrong” and “right” in this universe technically, but why would people want to neuter themselves of a way to enhance their creativity? I find it makes the process more enjoyable to me and the outcomes more enjoyable for the client? Creativity, the act of creation on the physical plane, the act of pulling an idea from spirit, to reality…. “in” “spiritation” “incarnate” at it’s purest form.
It really is a simply step when starting the design, I simply ask my spirit guides, the spirit guides of my client, and the universe in general to connect with what designs the client really wants and the best designs in-line with their goals.
I think we need to bring spirituality back into the process, or discover it for the first time. Giving ourselves a lobotomy and working as a design robot really takes away all the fun, joy, and heart out of the result. I get it; a few years back if you told me, ‘I would be preaching to add spirituality into design,’ I would have laughed. It can be difficult to comprehend how effective this channeling can be to your clients, until you have simply given it a try.
